Roosting Birds Pattern

Roosting Bird – Free Pattern

The long tail feather is missing 2 stitches in the written instruction, the chart is correct. The words should read:

  • Rnd 1: Chain 11
  • Rnd 2:Start 3rd stitch from hook, 2sc, 3 hdc, 3 dc, 5dc in last stitch, go around the other side of chain with 3dc, 2hdc, 2sc, close the thread, leave a longish tail.

(The first 2sc weren’t there!)

Inside Crochet Issue 12 Handy Helpers

In the instructions for Stripy Hat, in Rnd 12-15 the numbers in brackets got muddled up and make no sense whatsoever! The stitch count is right though!
They should read, in UK stitch terms:

  • Rnd 12: Change to C1, (2dc in first st, 1dc in ea next 10 st) 2 times – 24sts.
  • Rnd 13: Change to MC, (2dc in first st, 1dc in ea next 11 st) 2 times – 26sts.
  • Rnd 14: Change to C1, (2dc in first st, 1dc in ea next 12 st) 2 times – 28sts.
  • Rnd 15: Change to MC, (2dc in first st, 1dc in ea next 13 st) 2 times – 30sts.
