Bruno The Sleepy Lion was inspired by retro cartoons and really old circus posters. But don’t worry, this lion is very tame. Wouldn’t he make the perfect companion for a tranquil stroll around the beach, once the summer begins!

This pattern has written instructions for all parts, with added charts to help along the way. There are also step by step photos detailing how to begin crochet using a “magic ring”, and diagrams and photos on how to assemble and finish the object. You will mostly need standard stitches – this is an intermediate crochet, as there is a bit of join-as-you-go assembly to do.

The finished Lion is approximately 10 inches long (25 cm), when made with a 2.5mm and 2.75mm hooks in DK weight wool. The sample is made in Rowan Wool Cotton.
